I am Dr. Sara Saeed, my research direction is towards synthesis and development of state-of- the- art nanomaterials for photoluminescence, energy conversion, optoelectronic applications.Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at Shenzhen University, my work focuses on the synthesis and development of highly luminescent and environmentally stable perovskite and chalcogenide quantum dots in tunable wavelengths for display and optoelectronic applications. After completing my Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China . I joined a research-based company, Yangming Quantum Technology Ltd., where I worked on projects related to the stability enhancement of perovskite quantum dots through structure and surface engineering techniques. This work led to the publication of a Chinese patent on stable manganese-doped perovskite quantum dot optical films. In my Ph.D. research, I focused on the “Study of optoelectronic response of ZnS:Mn and CdS chalcogenides.” This included the design, synthesis, and analysis of 1D and 3D chalcogenide-based nanostructures for optoelectronic light sensing and energy conversion applications. I have extensive experience in fabricating 0D, 1D, and 3D nanomaterials using both physical and wet chemistry synthesis methods, and characterizing them with TEM, SEM, XPS, XRD, photoluminescence
spectroscopy, and more. I have had excellent opportunities to be exposed to research and laboratory- based environment throughout my academic and professional years. I had equipped myself with research methods as well as problem solving and analyzing skills. I have gained the understanding of the ethics and conduct rules in different laboratories in addition to the invaluable skills to manage, lead and collaborate effectively with people from different cultures. I am confident that my background knowledge and research experience will help me to contribute meaningfully in a new competetive research environment.
